Avv. Tommaso Capurro was born in Rapallo on May 3, 1981.

In October 2004, he graduated in Law at the University of Genoa, with a grade of 110/110 with honors, discussing the thesis "Abuse of economic dependence and private autonomy", supervised by Chiar.mo Prof. Andrea D'Angelo. The thesis was awarded with publication rights.

He qualified to practice law in October 2007 and has since been enrolled in the Register of the Genoa Bar Association.

As soon as he graduated, he immediately began his legal practice at the Law Firm of Profs. Sergio M. Carbone and Andrea D'Angelo in Genoa where he then continued his professional collaboration as a lawyer until October 2019.

He is the founder and owner of Capurro Law Firm.

In 2021 he was admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation and other Higher Jurisdictions.

He provides assistance in the judicial and arbitration fields and advises business, insurance companies, public and private entities, with a prevalent focus on civil and corporate law, specialising in the following areas: contracts, insolvency proceedings, transport law, insurance law, liability law (including liability of directors and statutory auditors of companies; medical malpractice; financial lines).

He holds a PhD in Civil Law from the University of Pisa, having defended in 2010 a thesis on "The conventional ius variandi. Judgment of validity and review of the exercise of law".

He was Visiting Fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London.

He is the author of several publications in specialized journals (Nuova giurisprudenza civile commentata; Banca, borsa, titoli di credito; Il diritto marittimo; Contratto e impresa/Europa)

He was editor of the magazine "Annuario del Contratto", directed by Profs. Andrea D'Angelo and Vincenzo Roppo, published by Giappichelli.

He is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
